VATICAN CITY HIT BY CORRUPTION SCANDAL
The Roman Catholic Church is at it again. And official corruption is the main issue. The man who used to help the Pope with meals and wardrobe, has blown the whistle. He calls himself the "agent of the Holy Spirit". But his real name is Paolo Grabriele.

He is charged with taking confidential papers from the church and giving them to the outside secular world. The papers are supposed to be evidence to his claim that irregular behaviour at the church was under way. A court case has been brought against him.

The expert on Vatican law, Prof. Giovanni Giacobbe, said,
"The Pope cannot tell the judge what verdict to reach, but he can intervene at any time if he wants to, and he can also grant a pardon"
Proceedings are under way in the Vatican courtroom.
