PARTICLES CAN BE OBSERVED IN THEIR QUANTUM STATE

Serge Haroche and David J. Wineland have been awarded the Nobel Physics Prize "for ground-breaking experimental methods that enable measuring and manipulation of individual quantum systems". Each will receive a Nobel Medal, a Nobel Diploma, and a Prize amount.

 

The reverse side of the Physics medal looks like this. The inscription reads, "And they who bettered life on earth by their newly found mastery".
